A traditional infusion with the name and manufacturing tradition derived from Tarnów. Local residents had long produced home-made infusions, whose main ingredient was sloe fruit harvested from wild blackthorn bushes growing on St. Martin’s Mountain and other hills around Tarnów.
The recipe for this dark maroon beverage has been passed down here from generation to generation. This long tradition has contributed to the emergence of an infusion with a matchless taste and noble colour. Today Tarninówka, sealed in a glass bottle with a refined shape, has the taste and original colour of its local predecessor made for decades under the thatched roofs of farms near Tarnów.
The recipe for this dark maroon-coloured drink was found in the vicinity of Tarnów. Since it was passed down there from generation to generation, its original taste and colour has been preserved. The name of the drink refers to a Polish general, Józef Bem, born in 1794 in the suburbs of Tarnów.
